Le Chene VertCarp fishing in South west FranceParticle baits
Particle baits can be a instant success for catching carp on some lakes, be it on the hair, hook or just as an attractor. Maple peas, chic peas, black-eyed beans and peanuts are some of the most used and successful of all the particle baits. There are few lakes where they will not succeed in catching carp the first time. Try leaving some particle baits such as maize in soak for longer, fermentation will start and give it a added smell (carp love it). During boiling you can add a bit of extra taste in the form of chili or brown sugar. Experiment all you like..... For those that still remain cautious of preparing their own particles they can be bought ready to use from most tackle shops.
