Le Chêne vert is a 5 acre French carp fishing lake offering something for everyone. Our fishing lake is set in the heart of the limousin countryside and is surrounded by 5 acres of private parkland and woods. The lake has been re-stocked December 2007 ready for next season with 1 ton of Czech Royal carp. These are in addition to our existing stock of mirror carp and common carp to 45lbs. The lake is ideal for both experienced and novice anglers, while our superb facilities and location make it an excellent choice for families and mixed groups, as well as catering for the individual angler.

Despite temperamental weather conditions we experienced this summer, 2007 has still been an excellent season. We have had many anglers break their personal bests. We have been complimented on the fighting ability of the carp which makes them a challenge to land, however they have been rewarded with quality carp with excellent colouration. Some of these carp had never before seen a hook.

The carp we introduced in 2006 have piled on the pounds over the course of the year , (and will continue to do so). Along with our existing stock the carp lake at Le Chêne Vert offers a wide diversity of fish. We currently have Mirror carp and common carp to 45lb+, linear carp , roach, zander, tench, perch and grass carp.

Our facilities include, English toilet and shower and free use of the bunk chalet (sleeping 6) for those not wishing to do the bivvy thing. Next to this is a large covered “Abri” for dinning and cooking with separate barbeque and picnic areas. You are also welcome to make use of our 8m swimming pool (subject to season) Along with the multi use sports pitch for badminton, 5 aside, volley ball etc…this is an ideal venue for family and group holidays or individual anglers.
