• I have been told that it is impossible to catch a carp off the top in France, is this true?

Don’t believe everything you are told! There are many myths around about carp fishing in France. This season we have found that during quiet periods when the carp do not seem interested in feeding it has been possible on several occasions to catch off the top with a bit of crust (French bread of course!). So don’t forget to pack a stalking rod….

• How much bait will I need?

Our bait package provides you with enough bait for a week of serious fishing! Many people order bait from us and then arrive with a van load as well! They often end up taking it home. Experience has shown that little and often is the key to successful fishing at Le Chêne Vert as the carp are wise and are suspicious of large amounts of bait in any one area. Obviously our packages are based on what we feed the carp, so they will recognize the bait as food. This does not mean, however, that other baits will not work Generally bait is cheaper in France and we can source anything you may need. Just email us your requirements.

• Do you offer airport pick-up from Limoges?

We would be happy to arrange airport pick-up and drop off to Limoges airport at no extra charge.
