Le Chêne Vert is an ideal venue for your French Angling holiday. Our superb location and facilities mean we have something to offer everyone. Set in 5 acres of park and woodland our 5 acre angling lake is stocked with mirror carp, common carp to 45lbs, zander, roach, tench, grass carp. This diversity of fish makes it an ideal lake for both experienced and novice anglers. The lake is limited to 6 anglers and there are 8 swims to chose from.

2007 has been an excellent season with many anglers breaking their personal bests. Our carp prove to be a challenge to land, as they tend to fight hard right up until they’re in the net! Anglers have always been well rewarded as the quality and colours of the carp are outstanding, and we receive many compliments to back this up.

1 Ton of Carp added

1 Ton of Czech Royal carp have been introduced to the lake in december 2007 . All of these carp weighed in at over 20 lbs. The Czech royal stain is renowned for its extraordinary growth rate. Each carp is capable of gaining over 5 lb in weight per year. We are looking forward to seeing these in the years to come. The carp we added in 2006 has proved to have piled on the pounds over the course of the year , (and will continue to do so). Along with our existing carp we have a wide diversity of fish. We currently have Mirror carp and common carp to 45lb+, linear carp , roach, zander, tench, perch and grass carp.

We offer toilet and shower facilities and a bunk chalet (sleeping 6) for those not wishing to do the bivvy thing. There is also a large covered “Abri” for dinning and cooking, barbeque and picnic areas. You are also welcome to use our 8m swimming pool (subject to season) Along with the multi use sports pitch for badminton, 5 aside, volley ball etc…this is an ideal venue for family and group holidays or individual anglers.
